Apple co-founder Woz: Never trust what Musk and Tesla say again
[TechWeb Report] Jan. 31, 2018 - U.S. upstart automaker Tesla is one of the more successful when it comes to the big-hitting electric car, but it's now less popular with Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, who said at an event that he no longer believes what Musk and Tesla say, according to foreign media reports.
Woz attended the Nordic Business Forum in Stockholm, Sweden, where he said that early on he was a fan of Tesla, but that he would never believe what Tesla and its CEO Elon Musk said again.
The main reason Woz no longer believes what Musk and Tesla say is still because he thinks Musk and Tesla promise too much but deliver very little. Typical of this is Tesla's self-driving technology, with Woz saying at the event that Musk had previously expected Tesla's self-driving cars to cross the U.S. sometime in 2017, but it didn't happen and was subsequently pushed back to early or late 2018.
When it comes to autonomous driving, Woz thinks both Audi and BMW are ahead of Tesla.
While claiming not to believe what Tesla and Musk say anymore, it's indisputable that Woz has two Tesla Model S's. Woz also admitted at this event that he likes Tesla's electric cars, but the problem is that Musk is portrayed as an untrustworthy person in many movies.
But at the event, Watts said that in addition to having a Tesla electric car, he has a Chevrolet electric car, the Bolt, and only uses the Tesla Model S for long trips and to take full advantage of Tesla's charging network. (Chili Pepper)
