What role does the Basic State of Teaching and Learning database in higher education play in the audit assessment?
The database itself is both an integral part of the teaching and learning assessment system, and at the same time provides a fundamental support role for assessment visits throughout the audit assessment.
Before entering the school, the school completes the accumulation of data and information by filling in the data on the basic status of teaching and learning to comprehensively and systematically sort out the teaching activities and provide supporting materials for writing the Self-Assessment Report. At the same time, the school's teaching and learning activities can be reproduced in the database in a comprehensive and digital manner, and the school no longer has to prepare a large amount of textual materials for the assessment, which effectively reduces the workload of the school during the evaluation phase. The experts can then use the Data Analysis Report, which is based on the status data, to understand the basic situation of the school, determine the focus and difficulties of the visit, and make the visit to the school more efficient and targeted.
In addition, the database provides experts with objective and systematic data on the state of the school, and experts can obtain a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the school by consulting the raw data in the database at any time during the assessment process, reducing the intensity of the inspection work. At the same time, the data and field visits mirrored each other and provided the experts with a factual and data basis for writing the assessment report, making the experts' judgement more systematic and scientific.
How do schools fill out the Basic Status of College Teaching data?
The Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Education has established a periodic filling system to implement the requirements of the Ministry of Education's Education High [2011] No. 9, organized relevant colleges and universities nationwide to complete the filling of teaching basic status data, and conducted the collection of teaching basic status data in advance for colleges and universities participating in audit and evaluation. Once the school has determined to participate in the audit assessment, it should escalate the data to the database system at the specified time as required.
The basic status of teaching database of colleges and universities uses an online filling system to report the basic status of teaching data, which will be used mainly for teaching assessment, generally three months prior to the acceptance of the assessment.
Data completion can generally be completed within half a month. During this period, the database will be open for schools to fill in the data, and schools can fill in and modify the data content at any time. After that, the feature will be turned off and schools can no longer make changes to the data, but can still view and download our data. If there are special reasons for adjustment, the school may submit an application to the Ministry of Education Assessment Centre and obtain approval before revision.

What is the National Management Information System for Evaluation of Undergraduate Teaching Work in Universities?
The audit evaluation adopts the "National Undergraduate Teaching Work Evaluation Management Information System", which is a web-based evaluation work platform. It is to provide timely information service and support for various users in the assessment process, such as assessment organization departments, assessment expert team members and participating schools, with university information, assessment information and expert information as the core of management and the assessment process as the main line of management.
After logging in to the assessment management system, select "Review Assessment". The system can be used by three types of users: schools, specialists, and project administrators (secretaries).
The assessment management system allows schools to keep abreast of assessment developments and upload assessment materials. The system provides access to view and download assessment documents and related forms. In the assessment, schools can submit information such as self-assessment reports, rectification reports, curriculum schedules, work schedules, and lists of internship sites through MIS.
The assessment management system allows experts to learn about participating schools and schedule visits. Before entering the school, experts view the school self-assessment report and status data analysis report on the system and submit their review comments and visit plan; during the school visit, they submit their visit plan and notice of access to materials through the system; after leaving the school, they use the system to upload their personal and expert group audit and assessment reports.
The project administrator and secretary check the status of participating schools through the system, coordinate the work schedule of the expert group, and interface the work of the expert group and schools.
